Enjoy a safe and healthy vacation without worrying about your medication by following a few simple guidelines. Once you have travel insurance sorted out, put your prescriptions in order before you travel. Both travel medical insurance and your regular medications should protect you when you travel.
Travelers with pre-existing health conditions should take a letter signed by their physician, confirming that the prescription medication is for treating a stated medical condition. You should keep your medication in the original packaging with original labels.
Check, if you are unsure, whether your medication is classed as an illegal drug in the country you are visiting.

Consumers who took out a loan or credit card in the last six years have been told to check their documents to see if they were sold loan insurance, following a decision to re-open compensation claims.
So far the average sum paid out to consumers who complain they were mis-sold payment protection insurance (PPI) is £2,750.
Barclays, RBS and HSBC announced on Sunday that they would follow the example set by Lloyds and would no longer persue a legal fight against the Financial Services Authority (FSA) concerning sales of the controversial loan cover.

A recent report from the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.) highlighted the problems that the state of New York is currently facing as a result of fraud and abuse that is exploiting its no-fault auto insurance system.
According to the I.I.I., the total bill for fraudulent claims and abuse of the no-fault system in New York in 2010 was $204 million. Who footed this bill? Why, honest drivers in New York, of course, along with auto insurance companies. This $204 million created, in essence, a “fraud tax” of a whopping $1,311 per claim – or 15 percent of each no-fault claim – the I.I.I. report noted. (Relate

Altitude sickness signs and symptoms include headache, difficulty breathing, nausea and mental confusion. A new bill that would ban the act of texting while driving in Maine is working its way through the State Legislature.
Senator Bill Diamond is sponsoring LD 736, legislation that specifically aims to prohibit texting while driving. The bill would ban sending electronic communications, including text messages, instant messages and e-mails, using a portable electronic device while operating a motor vehicle.
Using global positioning or navigation systems would not be included on the list of prohibited activities.
Violators would be fined a minimum of $100.
