Why making the close is only one part of agency management
In the marketing of insurance, jumping right for the paperwork probably isn’t your best move too early in the sales conversation. That needs to come after you spend a little time easing the customer into the process. You need to take a piece-by-piece approach to work your way up to the final sale.
You’ll want to do some preparation for yourself prior to meeting with the client.

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) is pushing for long-term reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), and recently testified before congress stating its case.
“As the leading advocate for housing issues, NAR strongly supports reauthorizing the NFIP for a minimum of five years, and before the program is set to expire later this year, ending the current stopgap approach that has already led to nine extensions and five lapses of program authority since 2008,” NAR member Terry Sullivan said.

When taking part in an expedition, a trek or a voluntary project in a remote area you need to consider a few extra safety precautions. Make sure you are well prepared for your trip by finding out about the climate, the environment you’ll be travelling in, and what immunizations you need.
Find out where to access your nearest medical support. You may have an expedition nurse traveling with you if you are taking part in an organized expedition, but if you are traveling independently you should know the location of your nearest doctor. Make sure you know first aid before you travel and what to do in an emergency, and take a first aid kit.
Here more than anywhere is where you need to purchase international travel insurance. While accidents can happen in developed cities and remote areas, you need the protection of good quality travel insurance when you travel off the beaten track.
Of course, it’s better to prevent medical problems happening than patch things up when they go wrong. Have a comprehensive medical and dental check-up before you leave. Make sure you are fit and healthy by eating well and exercising in training for your trip.

It is important that you go into using insurance leads with realistic expectations. Some leads will turn out to be better than others, and depending on how you speak to your customers, you will have varying degrees of success.
Some things you should be aware of:
Ask for pertinent information. Sometimes a potential client might enter the wrong phone number or some incorrect data that affects the quote. If a client has entered fake information, you can get a refund for those leads.

A new bill in Florida that could result in higher home insurance rates for state residents cleared a Senate committee last week.
Senate Bill 1330 (SB 1330) would allow insurers to increase home insurance rates in Florida by up to 30 percent a year – without authorization from regulators.
SB 1330 aims to deregulate Florida home insurance rates by authorizing insurers to use rates that differ from rates approved by the Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR). Under current law, rate hikes that are deemed excessive can be rejected by regulators. B
