The hot trend of deep frying turkeys has spread like wildfire in the last few years — literally.
Deep fryer fires on average kill five people, injure 60 and cause more than $15 million in property damage every year, according to the National Fire Protection Association. State Farm warns that more cooking fires flare up on Thanksgiving than any other day of the year. According to its claims data from 2005 to 2009, grease and cooking-related claims more than double on Thanksgiving compared to an average day in November.

Phrases like “I’ll have to” or “find the time” or “make time” tell your client a few things: He/she is a burden to you, and working to help him or her is not your main goal.
It shows that you don’t really like your job, or at least, you don’t like the part that involves talking to the client, and would prefer to be doing something else. What you say can have a huge effect on how your client views your, whether intentional or not.
Saying that you’ll be “glad” to do things for clients or that it would be “my pleasure” shows you’re ready to and willing to do the work. Try to use those instead.

A new report suggests that consumers in Mississippi may wish to compare home insurance quotes for a possible new policy, as rates may increase.
Allstate Property and Casualty Insurance are looking for a public hearing with Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney over a request to raise rates by as much as 44 percent.
The insurer may look to appeal for an additional hearing, due to past comments made by Chaney. The commissioner had previously stated he would not approve a rate increase without a court order, Insurance Journal reports. Read all post…
